On a rainy, chilly day in Providence, RI, “Chilly” Ch Blazin’s Ice Mountain CGC won Best Of Breed in a field of 6 Specials!!  A nice way to end the 2009 show year!!

At our fall supported weekend Cruise was BOS in Puppy Sweeps, CeCe went WB for her third major and finished her CH and not to be outdone, Blue took BOB the following day!! Yeah girls.

The supported entry was full of lots of great memories.  “Eagle” Ch Salasana Double Arrow CD RA JH OA AXJ GCG HOF won Best Of Breed out of the Working Class and topped it off with a Group 3, “Chilly” Ch Blazin’s Ice Mountain CGC won Best of Opposite handled by Tesa Johns, “Marley” Blazin Jamaican Me Happy won Winners and Best of Winners for a 5 point major at his first show handled by Dawn and Marla, and “Joule” Blazin’s Joule To Infinity won Reserve Winners handled by her owner Kristine.  Lots of fun!!  Eagle and Chilly are owned by Marty and Dawn, Marley is owned by Rebecca and Nathan Black and Joule is owned by Kristine Wolfe.

On Sunday, Dancer earned her WCX, in flat-coat style, of course!  The marks were challenging and, after 2 no-birds on land and some handler errors, she showed that she has what it takes and got the job done. The weather couldn’t have been more beautiful and we had a great time.  Dancer enjoyed her shaved prime rib dinner too!

At the Mispillion KC show, Jurel, Blazin Dunlin of Tidalflats CGC, won big going Best of Breed over 3 male specials!!  This was Jurel’s  first 2 points and Cliff and I know Jane was watching!!

A week after finishing his JH, Arthur got serious (enough) to qualify for his 2nd and 3rd leg of his Companion Dog title at the Salisbury Maryland Cluster.  I really didn’t think he would make it since on the figure 8 he decided he could do it better by himself-he took the lead in his mouth to finish the exercise!  Gotta love those FCR’s and thankfully the judge understood.

Ch. Flashback’s Sweet Talkin’ Guy RA WC CGC, “Boone”, owned and handled by Melody Daniels (formerly owned by the late Sharon Rich), won Best of Breed at his first all-breed show of the year! 

At the Mid Atlantic Supported Entry show, “Piper”, Ch Blazin’s Enchanted Forest CD RA AX AXJ NAP OJP CGC, won Best Veteran In Sweepstakes underMari Rendich (Beachcliff)!!  At the same show, Piper won Best of Opposite under Dave Ashbey.  Piper is owned by Dawn Buttion & Marty Archambeault.

Arthur earned his Junior Hunter title on Halloween at the Back Bay Hunt Test outside of Staunton, VA.  For his final bird, Arthur launched himself from the side of the pond, catching a few feet of airspace.  It would have been a great photo….

Blue and Judy had a very successful Wine Country circuit where Blue won BOB 2 out of 4 days over big entries and top ranked male flat-coats, pretty cool for a girl !!!
Blue then went on to finish her JH in Oct proving that flat-coats can do everything.
