Flat-Coated Retriever Society of America — The FCRSA is our parent breed club. Their site provides a lot of general information about Flat-Coats as well as events, history, research initiatives, and much much more.

Flat-Coated Retriever Foundation — This is the non-profit arm of the FCRSA that funds research and rescue. All donations are tax deductible!

Flat-Coated Retriever Society of Canada — Everything you ever wanted to know about Flat-Coats in Canada.

Mid-Atlantic Flat Coated Retriever Club — An FCRSA local club for the middle Atlantic coast states.

Northeast Flat Coated Retriever Club — An FCRSA local club in New England.

Illinois Flat Coated Retriever Club — An FCRSA local club in Illinois.

Midwest Waterways Flat Coated Retriever Club — An FCRSA local club serving the Midwest States, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.

Northwest Flat-Coated Retriever Club — An FCRSA local club for the Northwest region.

Great Western Flat-Coated Retriever Club — An FCRSA local club serving California, Arizona, Nevada, as well as Oregon and Washington.

Southern Skies Flat-Coated Retriever Club — An FCRSA local club in Florida.

FCRSA Health Section — The Sharon Myers Health Committee is dedicated improving the health of Flat-Coated Retrievers. 

Flat-Coat Data Health Database — Open database repository for health information on Flat-Coated Retrievers. Please be sure to add your dogs.

The CRFCRC can not recommend breeders but is providing the following list of breeders as potential local sources of information. A comprehensive list of breeders that are in good standing with the FCRSA can be obtained from the FCRSA Membership Secretary.

Athercroft – One of the oldest American Flat-Coat kennels with one of the current breeders (Ruth Marsh) in southern Maryland.

Blazin Kennels – Dawn Buttion, CRFCRC’s founding president, & Marty Archambeault are located in Mt. Airy, MD

K’Mander Kennels – Flat-coat breeder in Connecticut since 1985.

Lyric Retrievers – Versatile flat-coats in Virginia since 1986, featuring Reggae, Waylynn and Cosmo, and their offspring.

Shalyn Retrievers Sherri Lilley raises, trains, and breeds Labrador and Flat-coated retrievers in Smithfield, VA.

Tidal Flats Kennels – Cliff Williams and his dogs live on Maryland’s eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay.

Victory Retrievers – Judy Gladson and her 3 generations of flat-coats in Accokeek, MD (near the Potomac River).

AKC Flat-Coated Retriever Breed Standard — This is the official US breed standard, a written, physical description of the ideal Flat-Coat, used by dog show judges.

Sterling and Omega Flat-Coated Retrievers — Breeders in Southern California who have a real nice web site with lots of information, especially an article on flying your dog.

Bertschire Flat-Coated Retrievers — Breeders in Georgia who have several valuable interesting articles including ones on field work & potentially breeding your flat-coat.

AKC Event Search — Comprehensive information on competitive dog events. When the site is actually working.

MB-F – AKC dog show superintendent covering mostly the East and Midwest. You can enter any AKC dog show online.

Jack Onofrio Dog Shows – AKC dog show superintendent for many shows throughout the Central, Western and Southeast U.S.

Jack Bradshaw Dog Shows – AKC dog show superintendent that handles shows mostly in the Southwest and West.
