    June 12, 2025 / Penny Woodward

CH Flatgold’s Storming Heart JH FCAT *SEN* *SCN* WC DJ CGC TKN – Crimson owned by Penny & William Woodward, had a fantastic time at the 2025 Nationals in Billings, MT. We started off slow in field but the momentum picked up as the week went on. Crimson placed 1st in Novice Agility Jumpers 20″, then we went down the hill where she picked up 3 scentwork legs and 2 scentwork titles (leg in interior and titles in containers and exterior). The next day was beginner novice with a 3rd place. Thursday was busy with conformation where she placed 3rd in started retriever and 4th in rally novice B. These Qs earned her the Sapphire award as well. Along with the specialty she visited the home of Laura Ingles-Wilder in De Smet, SD, The Battle of Little Bighorn in WY, Devils Tower, WY, The Badlands in SD and the Serpent Mound in OH. Roundtrip of over 4300 miles but what fun and wonderful memories!

Grey had tuned 18 months the day of the WC so he had to enter the big dog classes. So He showed in American bred Dogs. He did manage to control the wiggling somewhat in the exam and placed 4th behind his brother. Then the next day he exceeded all expectations in Rally Novice to qualify with a score of 95. They also enjoyed the sightseeing on the trip.
