My first love when it came to dogs was Shetland Sheepdogs. But most of my friends had Flat-coated retrievers and the more I hung around with them, threw birds for them and went to 2 FC Nationals with a Sheltie, the more I saw the wisdom and the light of getting my very own FCR back in 2001. Breezy was my first and has shown me the ropes of owning a FCR. Over the years we have become fast best friends and enjoy doing obedience, agility, hanging out, and her favorite–field. She has also made me realize that I can have two first loves.

Joy is the daughter of Judy’s Story and boy, does she look like her daddy! She is one of the sweetest dogs we have ever owned, though also, probably, the least coordinated!

AKC Eukanuba National Dog Championship

Shayla, bred and owned by Sherri Lilley (Dino x. Reggae), picked up 4 points toward her Championship her first weekend in the ring at 6 months old, also winning a Bred By Exhibitor Group III that weekend! Shayla finished her Championship at 16 months, shown exclusively in the Bred By Exhibitor class. Shayla won a National Specialty JAM in Best of Breed at 17 months in Perry, GA, and earned her CD in 3 straight trials before her 2nd birthday.

At 2 years of age, Shayla won Best of Opposite Sex and Best Bred By Exhibitor of Breed at the AKC National Championship in Tampa, Florida in 2006.

FCRSA National Specialty Award of Merit

From the moment that Eagle came into my life, he has been my best friend. We have played together every day. We’ve played in many venues — conformation, agility, obedience, rally and even field. We are the best of friends having a great time together! While we were playing, Eagle was fortunate enough to pick up enough titles and points to earn a spot in the FCRSA Hall of Fame!
