Athercroft Virgoes the Neighborhood “Hudson”, was second in the 6-9 puppy class. Hudson is owned by Ruth Marsh, Dee Turkelson and Donna Slavin.

Athercroft Tequila Mockingbird, “HarperLee’, placed 3rd in the Am.Owned class. HarperLee is owned by Ruth Marsh and Dee Turkelson.

Fishercreek Magic Johnson, “Johnson”, qualified in his rally class and made two cuts in the breed.

Ch. Athercroft Not for a Melon Bucks, “Freddie”, made all but the last cut in the breed and had two of his puppies go 1 and 2 in the 9-12 bitch class.

We could only attend the last few days of the Specialty, but it was sure fun!    “Boone”, Ch. Flashback’s Sweet Talkin’ Guy CD RE JH WC CGC, earned his first RAE leg by placing 3rd (100) in Rally Exc. B and qualifying (97) in Adv. B.    Then in breed he won 1st place in Working Retriever Dogs class!    On the way home, he picked up his 4th JH leg for the title.   Boone has 3 new titles this spring, all earned in consecutive trials/tests.   Owned by Melody Daniels and the late Sharon Rich

Ch Quillquest’s Leading Lady JH, OA, NAJ, NAP, NF, RN, WCX, CGC “Dancer” owned by Penny Woodward qualified for the Finish Line Award at the 2010 FCRSA Nationals in Auburn, IN by jamming in the Steady Singles Stakes, finishing her Novice FAST agility title, and qualifying in both Novice B Obedience and Advanced B Rally.  She also had awesome runs in the WCX, Open Jumpers and Advanced A Agility but, since we weren’t playing horseshoes, it didn’t count.  I give her an A+ for everything she was entered in.  What a fantastic ride!

At the FCRSA specialty, “Eagle” Ch Salasana Double Arrow CD RA JH OA AXJ GCG HOF qualified in agility in the morning and won a large 7-9 Veteran sweeps class in the evening.  What a thrill!! “Gooey”  Blazin’s Krazy Glue also made me proud by placing in both her Sweeps and Regular classes.  In the rally ring, which in so many ways feels like obedience to me, I was pleased that Eagle, “Faith”
Ch Blazin’s Gardez La Foi CD RN NA NAJ NAP NJP CGC and “Chilly” Ch Blazin’s Ice Mountain CGC all qualified in their classes. I entered all three levels.  What was I thinking.  All dogs are owned and loved by Blazin!!

CH. Fishercreek Magic Johnson “Johnson” owned by Ruth Marsh completed his rally novice title over the weekend in Manassas.  His last leg earned a score of 93, but he was beaten out by those darn border collies who actually practise!  Johnson was handled by Ruth Marsh

At the MAFCRC supported in Trenton NJ, “Eagle”, Ch Salasana Double Arrow CD RA JH OA AXJ GCG HOF,  won Best Veteran In Sweepstakes under Helen Szostak.  At the same show “Chilly”, Ch Blazin’s Ice Mountain CGC won Best of Opposite, “Rudy”, Blazin’s Joie De Vivre won Winners Dog and “Katie”, Blazin’s Kiss Me Kate won Reserve Winners Bitch under Nancy Cowley.  Eagle and Chilly are owned by Dawn Buttion & Marty Archambeault, Rudy is owned by Don and Sue Bierer and shown by Dawn and Katie is owned by Judy Riedel and shown by Ruth Marsh..

Ch Huntlane Chasin’ Daisies CD *MH* WCX “Chase” owned by John & Sandy Bulger earned his 5th leg and Master Hunter title at the Carolinas Retriever Association’s hunt test in Rocky Point, NC, handled by John.  He and his handler ran a clean, accurate test and made us all proud!

Ch Quillquest’s Leading Lady JH, OA, NAJ, RN, WCX, CGC “Dancer” owned by Penny Woodward went 2 for 2 in Novice Preferred Agility at the PVGRC Trial in Westminster, MD.  With almost a year off for us both we warmed up dropping back to Preferred to be safe and had a great time doing it.  She picked up one leg in Winchester in March in novice pref. std. and completed her NAP title Sunday also pickup up 2 jumpers legs.  All together 3 clean runs and 4 first place finishes this weekend.  Dancer is now CH. Quillquest’s Leading Lady JH OA NAJ *NAP* RN WCX CGC.

Tilly, Explicit Secret Dreams JH Am/Can WC, owned by Cary & Janet Ciarico, won WB for a major on Saturday, and WB/BOS for 2 points on Sunday, at the Delaware County KC shows.

Windfall’s Overachiever FM “Marcie” owned by Janet Boss earned her Flyball Master title at the Clean Break flyball tourament on 3/20/10.  In less than a year of racing, much of that only part-time, she has racked up over 5000 points and continues to burn up the lanes.  She particularly loved the location of this tournament, as there was a pond for some nice cooling swim breaks between racing!
