Victory’s Follow the Leader CDX RE MX MJB XF T2B JH WCX VFCR2 “Piper” owned by Neal & Helenmary Cody had a good, if long, weekend at the PVSSC Rally trial in Point of Rocks, MD. Saturday she got her second Rally Excellent leg, taking 4th place, and then on Sunday she finished her RE title with a score of 98. After spending much of 2014 in recuperation mode, it was really nice to be out competing successfully again!

On Saturday at the Potomac Valley Shetland Sheepdog Club trial, Blazin’s Keep The Faith CD BN RE CGC “Kip” owned by Marla Stoner qualified in Novice B Obedience with a score of 192 and 2nd place for his third leg to earn his CD.   Then that afternoon, in spite of his handler making a mistake at a sign, Kip earned his third leg in Rally Excellent B for his RE.  Two titles in 1 day!  Then on Sunday we were entered again in Novice B.  With all of the pressure off, Kip won the class with a 193.  Especially thinking for so long that I’d never get him to do the Stand for Exam, I’m especially proud of him and the way that he achieved his CD.

CH Blazin’s Life Is Good NA NAJ NF CGC “Benny”, owned by Scott & Tina Borden, finished his NA, NAJ, and NF at the ODTC agility trials as part of the Pet Expo at Baltimore County Fairgrounds. On to Open!

GCH Shalyn’s Ribbons and Blues RA NA “Blue” owned, bred and handled by Sherri Lilley-Peck hadn’t done any agility in a year. Entered him in local agility trial in Novice Stnd and Jumpers Preferred to build some confidence. He picked up two NAP legs with a first and second place and one NJP leg with a first place. He was a good boy even though his mind was on the two girls in season at home.

At the Catoctin KC show, Juvi and Solar played in the Rally and Obedience Rings for one last time in 2014.  In Rally,  “Juvi”, Ch Blazin’s License To Drive CD BN RN NA,  and  “Solar” Ch Blazin’s Lightning Bug BN RN NA, picked up their final Rally Novice legs and the RN titles in the morning and then moved to Advanced A where Juvi picked up her 1st RA leg and 1st place and Solar her 1st RA leg and 2nd place!  A great start in Advanced Rally!!  In Obedience, Juvi picked up her final Novice leg with a 4th place and final Beg Nov B leg with a 2nd place adding CD and BN to her name.  Solar picked up her final Beg Nov B leg also adding BN to her name.  Now Marty just needs to convince her to sit!! 🙂 Juvi and Solar are owned and loved by Dawn Buttion, Martin Archambeault, Bryce Archambeault &

Fleetwing’s Midnight Moonlight , Rock-It, owned by Brenda L Boesel has started his obedience career at 9 months old by passing his Canine Good Citizen test at Merrimac Dog Training Club in Hampton, VA. We are looking forward to many more trips into the ring in many venues.

Darkwater All That Glitters RN *OA OAJ* JH WCX CGC “Neon” owned by Penny Woodward earned both his Open Standard and Open Jumpers titles at RACE Agility in Reva with two really great runs.  Great courses under judge Barbara Bounds and lots of fun Sunday with the ugliest Christmas sweater contest.  Super way to end the year.

Blazin’s Keep The Faith BN RA “Kip” owned by Marla Stoner competed in Rally and Obedience at the Catoctin Tials.  On Friday he earned his 2nd RE leg.  We came back on Sunday where Kip earned his 2nd CD leg and tied for 4th place.  Unfortunately he did not win the run off.

Darkwater All That Glitters RN NA NAJ JH WCX CGC “Neon” owned by Penny Woodward and Shasta Red Medicine Woman JH WC “Shaman” owned by William & Penny Woodward both qualified for jumpers legs at REVA agility giving them both two legs towards title:  Shaman 2 legs towards NAJ and Neon 2 legs towards OAJ.  2 down and 1 to go.

At the Rock Creek KC show, Juvi and Solar played in the Rally and Obedience Rings for the 2nd time.   “Juvi” , Ch Blazin’s License To Drive NA, picked up her 2nd Rally Novice with a 3rd place, 2nd Beginner Novice with a 2nd place and 2nd Novice leg!  Her sister  “Solar” , Ch Blazin’s Lightning Bug NA, picked up her 2nd Rally Novice and 2nd
