  • Neon’s and Jodie’s Big Adventure

    June 15, 2019 / Penny Woodward

The morning of June 11th, Neon started his big adventure with his friend, Jodie, on a coast to coast trip to the FCRSA National Specialty in Albany, Oregon.  He crossed through 12 states on his way, stopping at one rest stop for every state to pose for pictures and chase prairie dogs!  We arrived in Albany to run in the Veterans Agility Lap and show that a Tripawd still can do it!  On Saturday Neon qualified in the WC and Monday participated in the Ring of Honor.  Such an amazing time to be able to be there with him on this journey, seeing our beautiful country, and giving hope to those who face the diagnosis of cancer and the possiblity that their dog may lose a limb.  Neon showed that life is not over and every day becomes a gift to open.  We came back east crossing 9 more states spending a day at Wall Drug and the Badlands arriving home on June 22nd.  An adventure of a lifetime!

  • Two more master upland legs

May 12, 2019 / Steve and Betsy Surprenant

Emma picked up two more master upland legs yesterday at the Valley Forge Field Trial Association Spring 2019 Spaniel Hunt Test at Dancing Bears Farm in Landenberg, Pennsylvania. Tougher than usual spaniel hunt test.  Two hunt tests were run in parallel in one day.  The master land work was entirely in heavy woods, as was the hunt dead on land. The water retrieve and hunt dead on water were both held in a fast running, wide stream. Chukars on land and pheasants at the creek.  Emma needs two more legs to earn her MHU title.
