New RE

Thrill, Eagletarn Mistral Wind, entered both of Carroll KC’s Rally trials. He qualified in both to achieve his RE title. We are both very out of practice competing thanks to Covid, so I’m very happy and pleased with how well Thrill did. He received the most amazing and beautiful New Title ribbon.
Coffee and Aisling play flyball at NAFA Can Am

Coffee and Aisling, both Blazin dogs, played in their first NAFA Can Am. The national flyball tournament is held in Indianapolis, IN. Coffee earned her FDCH-S at the tournament.
Coffee attends C-WAGS Nationals

Coffee (Blazin’s Quenched By Caffeine) and Gwen attended the event held in Cleveland, OH. They earned the Versatility Award for earning Qs in each of the venue’s disciplines, the Quad Q Award for four Qs in scent and the Triple Q Award for 3 Qs in obedience. Best part for Coffee was swimming in Lake Erie while out there!
Master Upland Hunter title +1

Emma earned her fifth pass and AKC Master Upland Hunter title at Maryland Sporting Dog Association’s AKC Spaniel Hunt Test on September 17, 2021. The next day, Emma earned her sixth MHU pass. Only five Flat-Coated Retrievers have earned the MHU title – the first was Dale Soper’s Vye in February 2013. We are very proud of Emma, and she’s fun to watch when she has her game on! Emma is now proudly Victory’s “M” CDX RE SH MHU CGCA TKP.

Cabbie, CH Blazin’s Questionable Drive’r OA AXJ XF ACT2 ACT2J DS TKN FCAT DN DS DSA TKN CGC, earned her Senior Dock Advanced title this summer. Cabbie is owned/loved by Dawn, Marty, Bryce & Colin!
Bender qualifies for Started Hunting Retriever (SHR) with UKC/HRC

Bender just received notification from the Hunting Ops Department of the United Kennel Club that he has 25 started points and has been awarded the Started Hunting Retriever (SHR) title. Go Bender.
Youngsters & Agility

Benji, Seville and Cabbie have been busy running agility this summer.

Benji, Blazin’s Push The Button OA NAJ FCAT ACT2 ACT2J CL1-R CL1-H CL1-F, finished up his Open Standard title and has already earned two Excellent Standard legs!

Seville, Blazin’s Pink Cadillac NA OAJ ACT2 ACT2J FCAT3 CL1-R CL1-F, finished up her Open Jumpers title!

Cabbie, CH Blazin’s Questionable Drive’r DCAT OA AXJ XF ACT2 ACT2J DS TKN NAC NJC CL1 CL2-R CL2-H CL2-F CGC, finished up her AKC Open Standard, Jumpers and Fast titles, her Excellent Jumpers and Excellent Fast titles and her CPE Standard Level 2 title!

Marty and I now have 5 dogs running in the Excellent/Master Standard and Jumpers class and soon to add a 6th dog to both!! It keeps us moving!

Benji, Seville and Cabbie are owned and loved by Dawn, Marty, Colin and Bryce.
A ‘Grand’ Announcement

*GCH*Athercroft Kama Siouxtra, ‘Twist’ owned by Ruth Marsh and Dee Turkelson has completed her requirements for the Grand Champion title! Twist has taken some nice breed wins in the last few months and continues to garner points towards the Bronze level. We are very proud of her!

CH Timberblacs Throwing Caution to the Wind JH WC RI TKI WGCA Remi, earned her WCX at PVGRC’s July working test. Remi was pretty perfect in the field that day and I couldn’t have been more proud of her work!
New Companion Dog title

I’m so proud to brag that Breeze, U-CH GCH Shalyn’s Sweet Virginia Breeze BN RA *CD* CGC earned her CD obedience title at the Durham KC trial in North Carolina! Tough competition for a placement where 17 out of 19 qualified. Breeze was bred and owner handled by Sherri Lilley-Peck.
