7/5 & 7/6 – CH Twin Oaks Primetime owned and handled by Kathy Leonhardt, finished his Championship with back-to-back majors at the Upper Marlboro Kennel Club and National Capital Kennel Club shows, going Best of Winners both days.

1/17- Blazin’s Carpe Diem “Dino”, owned by Scott and Tina Borden, handled by Scott, got Winners Dog and Best of Winners at the Mohawk Valley Kennel Club Show in Saratoga Springs, NY.  The next day, 1/18, at the same location, Dino got Winners Dog at the Glens Falls Kennel Club Show.

CH TwinOaks Springin inthe Rain CDX MX OAJ WC “Rainey”,  qualified both days to complete her Master Agility Excellent title and to become eligible for the FCRSA Hall of Fame.  Rainey finished the MX with 8 clean runs, 6 placements, and 10 cheeseburgers, the last being by far the most important in her view.  Her parents, Neal and Helenmary Cody are bursting with pride!

Victory’s Bravo Zulu JH NAC CGC, “Zu”, owned by Kate and Chris Hutchinson, handled by Kate, earned one Gamblers leg and THREE Regular legs to win his first agility title, NAC.  He wowed his mom by earning 3 First Place ribbons!  Zu received many compliments from the
large group of spectators who enjoyed watching “that pretty black dog what is it?” run his courses.  Zu and Kate are looking forward to many more agility trials in their future – great F-U-N!!

SR Aspengrove ADK Mr Prsonality CDX JH NA NAJ WC CGC, “Bailey”, continued his
agility streak by earning his first Open Standard leg, with a 2nd place ribbon!!   Bailey has made us very proud by placing on each of his qualifying agility runs to date, including taking 1st place on his NA titling run at the Specialty!  He loves agility! 

SR Rainbow Autumn’s First Frost JH WC CGC, “Risa”, took time out from her amusing role as “Conegirl”, postponing picking up cones long enough to earn her first novice standard leg!  We hope she’s setting a new trend of fewer cones and more legs to come!! 🙂  Bailey and Risa are loved, owned, trained and handled by Cary and Janet Ciarico.

“Bailey”, SR Aspengrove ADK Mr Prsonality CDX JH OA OAJ Am/Can WC CGC, handled by Cary, earned his second AX leg with a 1st place at the Onondaga KC agility trial.

“Risa”, SR Ch Rainbow Autumn’s First Frost SH WCX Can WC CGC, handled by Janet, earned her first CD leg at the Kanadasaga KC show.

Bailey and Risa are loved, owned, trained, and handled by Cary and Janet Ciarico.

Wags went WB BOS BOW at the Canadian Specialty for the 2nd year in a row to finish her Can CH. Wags achieved her WCX at the Garden State GRC at Colliers Mills, NJ in October, and is now AM Can CH Quillquest Wendy’s Wagtail SH WCX CGC TDI Can SH WCI . Winnie, AM/Can CH Quillquest Phen’s Born to Win JH WCX CD CGC TDI Can JH WC, took Veteran bitch in the regular classes at the Canadian specialty and went on to win both Brood bitch and Brace with Dina and Cutter as her get. At this same specialty, Dina took WB BOS for 5 points at the booster show and then finished her WC. Dina finished her JH title at Susquehana RC in November and is now CH Quillquest Dinamite JH WC Can WC . Ubi completed her CDX at the Turkey Cluster in November to become SR CH Quillquest Xuberance JH CDX WC Can CDX JH WC.

Ch Blazin’s Doppelbock CDX OA NAJ JH WCX, “Vita”, picked up his 2nd Open Standard leg at the Shetland Sheepdog Agility trial in Timonium, MD on 2/1/03. He then picked up his third on 2/16/03 at the TailBlazers Agility Trial in Aston, PA earning the title! Vita is owned by Scott & Tina Borden and trained and shown by Tina.

Ch Blazin’s Alluvion Solitaire CD NAP WC CGC, “Augie”, was handled by Marty to her first Open Preferred agility leg and 1st place. At the same trial, Augie and Marty picked up her second Novice Preferred Jumpers leg and 2nd place. Augie is owned by Dawn Buttion and Marty Archambeault.

Ch Blazin’s Cosmic Thing CGC, “Junebug”, picked up her fist Novice Jumpers agility leg, handled by Marty. This was Marty’s first agility trial-what a day he had! Junie is owned by Dawn Buttion and Marty Archambeault.

The Salasana puppies (sired by “Cosmo”, brought over from Finland, and owned by Blazin Kennels), turned 6 months on August 5th and were taken out for a show ring test drive!! Results are in and based on early analysis, the future looks bright! 🙂

“Sky” won Winners for the 5 point major under Marilyn Spacht!
“Eagle” was Reserve to the 4 point major in dogs at the same show!

“Sky” picked up 2 more points under Finnish judge Eeva Rautala!
“Eagle” was Reserve to the 4 point major in dogs at the same show!

Test Drive 4: Sussex Hills KC, August 31, 2003
“Sky” and “Eagle” both won the puppy class under Dr. Bernard McGivern.

“Vita” and I have good news to share after slogging through a long and frustrating agility season! He finished his OAJ on Sunday 11/15 at the Capital City Cocker Club’s trial in Dale City, Virginia with a second place. He got first place in his height division 11/14 at this trial in the Excellent Std A class…and on 11/8, the Sunday prior, he got first place in his height division in Excellent Std A at the National Capital Bearded Collie Club trial in Leesburg, VA. So we’re one leg away from finishing his AX and finally finished that OAJ! He is now Ch Blazin’s Doppelbock CDX JH OA *OAJ* WCX.” Congrats, Tina and Vita!
