January 1, 1970 / Judy GladsonVictory Retrievers had a good Specialty this year. Freya won her big 12-15 Sweeps class and placed 4th in the Reg 12-18 class.
CeCe won the Am Bred class and not to be left out…
Blue was awarded a JAM in Best of Breed, VERY COOL!!

1/25 – Light Foot’s Eclipse CD JH FDX CGC “Tanner”, and Sandy Bulger won the Oriole Award! The Oriole Award, given by the Oriole Dog Training Club in Baltimore, is a HUGE trophy (30″tall) given for the first time obedience exhibitor achieving the highest average of the three
scores required for an obedience title.Tanner also won an Oriole “Performance Dog Excellent” award for achieving three
performance titles this past year, (CD, FDX, and JH), of which two are
activities offered by the Oriole club. Yea Sandy and Big T! -

We want to acknowledge some big achievements for Katy Postrozny and Jaime:CH Savvy’s Cosmic Castaway CD JH MX WCX “Jaime”, owned by Katy Postrozny, was inducted into the Flatcoat Hall of Fame. She was also given a special recognition
certificate as the 2nd flatcoat to have earned her MX (Master Agility) title! -
New Champion
January 1, 1970 /CH Darktarn Neptune’s Raven, “Raven”, owned by M.Butsavage & J Brumley, finished
his Ch Mem Day weekend. Raven was only out 4 weekends & finished his Championship with 4 majors just past his first birthday! -
Some big fun in Kentucky at the National Specialty.
January 1, 1970 /CH Quillquest Peter Pan, “Sam”, owned by George and Saralee Boteler and handled by Linda Reynolds took 2nd place in his 7-9 Veteran Sweeps class under breeder judge Maureen Kolasa, and followed that with another 2nd place in Veterans 7-9 under English judge Peter Johnson.
Allegro’s Free Man in Paris WC, “Beau,” owned by Linda and Mark Reynolds and handled by Linda, got his first major at the CRFCRC Spring Supported entry, going Best of Winners for 3 points at the Virginia Kennel Club show on April 9.
He also earned his WC title at the Mid-Atlantic Flat-Coated Retriever Club’s WC/WCX test on May 7, and again in Kentucky at the FCRSA National Specialty. Also at the Specialty, Beau earned a 4th place in the Unsteady Singles B stake.

At the Independence Cluster in West Friendship, Maryland
January 1, 1970 /CH Twin Oaks T.K.O “Tyson”, owned by Kathi and Lee Leonhardt, became a new
champion at the Independence Cluster in West Friendship, Maryland with a 3
point major, handled by Jack Secrest.- Tyson had just won BOW at the Mountaineer KC show June 30th for 2 points. He was handled by Kathi Leonhardt’s sister, Terri Howser, who was showing for her very first time!
- Also, Hallbent Most Happy Fella, “Jordan”, owned by Kathi and shown by Jack Seacrest,
won his very first point at the Annapolis show.

A great summer start for Jeanne Lin & Boomer
January 1, 1970 /“Boomer” CH Bertschire’s Flash Point WC had a fantastic FCRSA Specialty. In the breed ring, she placed second in Open under Judge Houston Clark. Boomer also earned her WC and was awarded a JAM in Unsteady Singles B.
At the Southern MD KC show on July 1st under Judge Lisa Weiss, Boomer took BOB and finished!
Boomer is owned and handled by Jeanne Lin and supported by Bernie Strozeski. Thanks to all the Capital Region members who were at Specialty and the So MD Dog Shows and rooted everyone on!.

4/11/02 – 4/14/02 At the Dauphin Dog Training Club Agility Trial in Harrisburg, PA
January 1, 1970 /“Zu”, Ch Victory’s Bravo Zulu CD JH AX AXJ WCX, placed third in his Excellent A JWW class on April 11th, finishing his AXJ title. He earned two more qualifying legs on April 12th and 14th, one in JWW, one in Standard. Zu is owned by Chris and Kate Hutchinson, trained and handled by Kate.
