News from Sandy Howley and Gracy
January 1, 1970 /Lots of field success this year for “Gracy”, and me; It’s SR Banquo’s Strikes Our Fancy JH WC CGC now. She got her WC in the spring, and ran Junior Hunter and Started Retriever tests through the summer, getting both titles by summer’s end. It’s on to handling yardwork and multiple marks field training as we look forward to “the next levels”!

From Janet Boss
January 1, 1970 /“Franklin” (Maple Manse Stayman Rules) has finally started his flyball racing career. With only a handful of heats under his belt, he has earned his Flyball Dog and Flyball Dog Excellent titles and should earn his next title at his next tournament (have to miss the CRFCRC Reunion Picnic for that!). He already ranks #54 of 93 FCRs registered with NAFA for flyball, and hopes to move up that list very fast! His mixed breed “sister” Lucy is currently the #96 mixed breed out of 1896 registered, so he has big paws to fill.

Sandy Howley and Gracy!
January 1, 1970 /It’s been an awesome Spring 2004 for “Gracy”, SR Banquo’s Strikes Our Fancy *CD* JH *WCX*. On April 11th, Gracy qualified in BOTH WCX tests of PVGRC’s double WC/WCX tests! The past few weeks have brought Sandy and Gracy BIG successes! At the Dog Owner’s Obedience Trial on March 14th in West Friendship, MD, Gracy’s tying-for-third-place-score (out of 45 dogs!) earned her the third Novice A leg and her Companion Dog title! At CRFCRC’s Fun Match two weekends later, Gracy earned High in Match (regular classes), with a score of 196.5 in Novice A obedience, AND Best Pet in conformation. In the CRFCRC Supported Entry on April 4th at the Chesapeake Kennel Club Obedience Trial in Prince Frederick, MD (amid tornado warnings, a tornado warning delay, high winds, rain and cold – yes, outdoors obedience competition!), Gracy took first place in her class (with a decent score of 192). They came home with High Flat-Coat In Trial honors as well. They’re looking forward to doing just as well in next-level obedience trials and hunt tests this fall!
