1. Maze is out of Sherri Lilley-Peck’s litter,  Marley x Jazmine born on 2/17/11.

He is a very spirited pup with a lot of personality. I am looking forward to competing with him in obedience, rally,  breed, and maybe even agility—provided I can keep up. He gets along well with every dog and person he meets. Maze is the happiest dog I have ever seen in my life!

At 2 years old, Maze won the GRITS award in Conyers, GA at the National Specialty. He qualified in The American Bred Class in Breed, Rally Novice B and also Beginner Novice B. This was his first specialty and he made us very proud.

Jurel, no longer a puppy, is still one of the most cheerful and unassuming dogs we have ever owned.

Her name (pronounced hoo-rel’) is the common name for jacks (a group of racey gamefish species) which occur in the mid-Atlantic area but are more common in southern waters. The species most commonly called jurel is a pretty fish also known as a blue runner.

Zephyr was our meant-to-be dog. I had been asked if I was interested in a pup from his litter when the litter was born. We were dealing with Hurricane’s cancer and we said not now. When the puppies would have been about 9 weeks, I start putting out the word we were interested in getting another Flat-Coat. Less than 48 hours later we were arranging to pick up Zephyr in a couple of weeks. He is everything we could have asked for. He is loving, silly, loves to retrieve and learn. He is laid back but still energetic. His enthusiasm for whatever I asked him to do has even got me to go back in the show ring, which I had vowed I would never do.
