November 27-28, 1999
Saturday
It was a picture perfect day in West Friendship, Maryland for the CRFCRC Fall Supported Entry on Saturday, November 27. There were lots of beautiful, tail-wagging Flat-Coats on hand, along with wonderful and useful auction items, and lots of good food and fellowship.
A huge thanks to Kurt Anderson for judging the Puppy and Veterans Sweepstakes! We appreciate that he and his family came down from the Northeast for this special event. And thanks also to Kurt and Gillian Impey for stepping in at the last minute to lead an informative discussion on breed physical traits and characteristics and for offering photographs as well as live, tail-wagging examples of breed type.
It was very exciting to see all the gorgeous Flat-Coats and their owners and handlers out in the ring strutting their stuff!! The entry for Sweepstakes was (6-6) and Veteran’s Sweepstakes was (2-7). Actual competition entries were (6-6) and (2-6). The total entry for breed was 45 FCRs, 17-15-(5-4)-4. Actual competition entries were 15-13-(5-6)-3. Two class bitches, who had finished their Championship titles, moved up to the Best of Breed competition on Saturday. Congratulations to all those who showed in breed and obedience and to all the winners of the day!!
And a very special thanks to all the people who volunteered to help set up and make the brunch and acution go smoothly. So many people generously donated auction items and brought food for the brunch which made the events very successful.
We hope everyone enjoyed the events and we look forward to seeing you at next year’s fall supported !
