This event was a big success, as reported by the chairperson, Jane Boraczek: "The Capital Region Flat-Coated Retriever Club held it's fall supported entry today [November 22, 1997] in West Friendship, Maryland.  Entry was 7-9(7-2)1-2; actual number of competitors was 6-9(4-2)1-2....Thanks to all the competitors for bringing your dogs out for this supported.  A special thanks also to all of the club members that worked hard to make this a success.  Our trophies were outstanding this year, and our brunch and silent auction were arranged pre-dawn to support an 8 AM ring time!"
